Let your inner-child play with water in the desert. We'll spend the day making paper with Abaca (Musa textilis) and Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L). Plant fiber such as iris leaves and horsetail can be included for color and texture.

During this day long class learn how to create an organic sculptural form inspired by nature with flax (Linum usitatissimum) roving. This is an easy and fun technique with endless possibilities. The dried sculpture can be easily embellished with materials of your choice such as ink, paint or stitching. Paper Rain Studio

The art of the book is vast, curious and so engaging. Enjoy a day of hand papermaking with the intention to create a 'story book'. We'll make paper with abaca and plant fiber, flax roving, dye and ink. Stitching is not the focus, but can be incorporated into your design.

Paper Rain Studio

Spring into the new year in Santa Fe just in time for Easter fun. During this 2-day workshop we'll use various basketry materials such as rattan, round reed and flax fiber paper along with springtime foraged materials such as willow and chamisa. Learn how to make paper with flax roving and apply your textured paper to the form creating a contemporary basket. 10 am-4 pm.
